I've been sick all week and they sent me home from work lol ;u;
this is just a thought, really, but several years ago when I made +Protector+, it was for a contest that another deviant was holding, where all entrants had to make a 20 page original comic and the winner would have their book published. This contest in particular seemed to flop, so there never was a winner...
But I'm thinking about doing something similar, myself? I use Ka-Blam to print my books, and anyone can use it, but maybe a contest would be a good way to get some people to really push themselves into printing? I know that it was a really big step for me to take, so in this case I would be available to help people who are new to creating comics for print.
Maybe I'd pay for the winner's book to be printed (one copy) and sent to them, then. I would prepare the files for them (DPI, format, ect) and send them to Ka-Blam
Is this something people would be interested in? +Protector+ was my first solid attempt at appropriately planning a comic (everything before it was so unorganized it's not even funny)
Entrants would have to use a specific page template to make sure their stuff is the right size for publication, but that would be the only real catch. THOUGHTS AND COMMENTS, PLEASE!!!
